So we ordered one in germany (can’t be ordered from Thailand directly) and luckily a friend of a friend (yep, Pigu again) flies over to Phuket this Sunday. He confirmed that the unit has arrived at his doorstep already (together with some new ATM cards we needed as well) and should be with us some time niext week. Until then I test last battery in the car and see how many Amps that one has left in it, to compare the developments (hopefully there are some) when the Megapulse is connected for a while.
So when the Megapulse arrives I’m going to connect it to the really dead AGM and hopefully get it back to the levels of the not so dead one. As we are parked and connected to a landline at the moment, its not that big a problem. Once its (hopefully) recovered to be approx level with the better one, I connect the both and let them pulse together and see where it gets us. The two AGMs are for the 220 Volts system, so they mainly keep the fridge up and running – thats their most critical task.
Once I have some results there (I hope to get somewhere till the 24th), I disconnect it from those batteries and connect it to the truck battery which can then be pulsed till the end of our stay. The truck battery operates the 12 Volt system so its less demanding on the battery as there are no big power hits, like the ones from the inverter. So it’s a little less critical. Then on 27th when we leave, I connect it to the starter battery (pretty dead as well) so it pulses that while we drive – as we have a long drive in front of us.
