I’m curious what I get from battery number three – its a normal 240 AMPs truck battery. But I’d say out of a gut feeling – not much. To test that one the changes are a little more difficult. So most likely will know something Monday evening.
So at the moment I know that I have 60 Kilos of lead, giving me 13 Ah of electricity. Not good. Whatever you do, don’t do what I did. Keep your batteries loaded and never let them sit for months half loaded. That one backfired.
Luckily there seems to be a solution for that kinda problems (provided it’s a sulfation), as there is a device which claims to be able to reverse the sulfation of a battery. Its called Megapulse by innovator Novitec, and although many good reviews are out there as this thing is now on the market for 15 years and even test labs tested it, it has got a nice price tag to it. The little unit costs 75 EUR, so approx half the price of a new AGM. So the question was if its worth to give this unit a shot or buy new batteries right away.
There is no guaranty that the unit can revive the dead battery(ies) and it might be an extra 75 EUR on top of buying new batteries anyway (don’t even want to think about it… ARGH). But then it also should help new batteries to stay healthy from day one, so we finally decided to go for it.
